Setup Required

This doodle requires a free API key to fetch live exchange rates:

  1. Click the "Add to Shaper" button to add this doodle to your browser.
  2. Visit fxratesapi.com and sign up for a free account.
  3. Copy your API key from the dashboard, under the 'Tokens' tab.
  4. In Shaper, go to the "Saved doodles" section.
  5. Find this doodle and click the "Refine" button.
  6. Prompt the AI to update the API key: "Update the API key to: YOUR_API_KEY_HERE"
  7. (Optional) Change the base currency: "Change the base currency from CAD to USD" (or your preferred currency)

How to Use

  1. Complete the setup steps above.
  2. Navigate to any webpage with currency values.
  3. Highlight any text containing a currency amount (e.g., "$99.99" or "150 EUR").
  4. A tooltip will instantly appear showing the converted amount.
  5. Click the floating "$" button in the bottom-right corner to toggle the converter on/off.
